Ilona Mitrecey – Noël que du bonheur

Are you teaching French to KS3 students? ‘C’est les vacances’ and ‘Un Monde Parfait’ by Ilona Mitrecey always go down well. Here’s her Christmas festive song- Noël que du bonheur:

Possible activities:
LISTEN more intently and punctuate away…
Highlight the verb endings.
Translate a verse.
Add your own verse.
Act it out eliciting the lyrics from your partner.
Have a karaoke session in class.

I wish you ‘Merry Christmas’
La la la la la
We wish you ‘Merry Christmas’
La la la la la

Les yeux dans le ciel
On attend le matin
On pense à nos cadeaux
On rêve du lendemain
Le coeur plein de joie
D’attente et d’espérance
On invite la Terre
A entrer dans la danse

Les yeux dans le ciel
On attend le matin
On pense à nos cadeaux
On rêve du lendemain
Le coeur plein de joie
D’attente et d’espérance
On invite la Terre
A entrer dans la danse
